damn. you are good, amigo. There is a fallout sign on an old high school by me that I am going to get a picture of. It won't look quite as nice but like you I am intrigued by people's false perceptions during the cold war.

Do they have those fall-out shelters as tourist attraction areas now? You know, where you can actually go inside to see what it would have been like and all...

That'd be cool. =P

Nice pic, BTW. ^.^

I know one. It's in Berlin. It's part of a museum about the history of Berlin.

Part of what intrigues is would you get more than 2 hours to park if you needed a fallout shelter?

I like this and I never noticed any problem with the contrast. If there is, it seems to be part of the message.. nuclear winter and all .:)

heh, this reminds me of when i worked in the state capitol, there were tunnels connecting the senate, house, services, and capitol builidng, and they were built in the 50's designed to be radiation shelters, the yellow signs embedded in the walls and in the stairwells, i always wanted to take one but i thought my job would go at risk for that, so i didnt.
anyhow, cool picture, i like how theres a newer sign accompanying it.
