This photo wouldn't have had nearly the same effect had you not included all that space. That's insight on your part. Though I do get the point that it is a ballet shoot, I don't think the on-point toes really fits well with the rest of the shot. Other than that, of course, it's brilliant. :)

My initial idea was to see the city out the windows. In the end, I preferred the impact of the light instead. I know what you mean about the feet - damn models... ;)
